TGIPinterest Pin This!: Spring

by Dumb Mom on February 24, 2012

I feel like my #TGIPinterest Pin This!: Spring challenge is solely responsible for the change in weather from crummy to awesome in my neck of the woods.

So happy that Mother Nature has finally started reading my blog and doing my bidding!

Now, to get the rest of humanity on board with that!

I’m just so ready to tuck away the parka for 2012.

And to send The Dudes out into the yard to get some peace exercise.

I’m not looking forward to pulling the yard into spring-summer shape but, way I see it, that’s sort of optional.

I mean, it must be done, just not necessarily by me.

So there’s that.

And there’s also a mess of adorableness to look forward to when the sunshine crawls out of its cave for good!

Here are a few of the things that made my Pin This!: Spring board this week…

Want to share something spring-ish you pinned?  Link it up in the linky!

And then get started on next week’s #TGIPinterest Pin This! Challenge: Sweetness.

As in, Phil Phillips made the top 24 on American Idol! Sweetness!

Or, um, I finally found the perfect way to organize Legos so my kids can put them away easily, find them when they want, and stop leaving them strewn around the carpet to create a bloody carnage with my feet!  Sweetness!

Or, perhaps you’ll go with the good old fashioned, banana nut bread hot out of the oven?!  Yes, please.  Give me some of that sweetness!

Doesn’t matter how you see it, just so long as you pin it and link it!

Love your spring ensemble! You know, I rarely ever pin clothes on Pinterest. I should, but I get bummed because I can never afford what I like. Is it just the look that people pin or is it that they are really going to buy the items? How does pinning clothes work?

Does anyone ever “steal” you ensemble and repin it? Are you like, “B*tch, I spent hours searching and putting together this hot spring look. Get your own sh*t!” Or are you flattered? Has anyone ever said, “Oh dear. You should NOT wear that! What are you thinking trying to pull that off? That’s hideous!”

These are the pinning worries that keep me up at night.

I am a pinterest newbie…is it bad to repin someone’s ensembles??

Nope! I didn’t make this one. I just saw it and loved it! People want to be repinned; just like they want to be Stumbled and Retweeted and commented upon. The amount of traffic you can get to your sites from repinning is amazing. So, no. They don’t care!

No one would ever say those words to me! Okay, maybe they would, but I wouldn’t care:). I think we both know nothing will ever top having your fashion dismantled by professionals on TV while standing in a 360 degree mirror! And I pin stuff I like in every genre. I’m never gonna buy most of the stuff I pin. Just like I’m never gonna bake, make, or build most of the stuff I pin. I just like it; and should the opportunity present itself in the future, I might bring something I’ve pinned to life. I think of it more as an inspiration. Like those vision boards people are always making but less time consuming and WAY less annoying!

So ready for spring! I’m from the south and now live up north…the snow is literally sucking my life force! Cute outfit btw, I may have to add it to the collection of mine!

I LOVE the orange in that outfit…not sure if I could pull it off being a redhead though. Loving this spring board. Thanks for getting me out of the rainy day funk today! :)

That dress is awesome, but I bet it is a real bitch to iron.

Well, that’s not really something I concern myself with since I’ve not touched an iron since at least the mid 90s. Ask Mimi, if it’s wrinkled, she irons it, or I just wear it as is. For some reason that really ticks her off!

My mom and Mimi would be best friends. Mom will tell the kids to take off their shirts so she can iron them while shooting me looks.

OMG – I’m so addicted to Pinterest ATM! It’s so easy and you can spend ages just trawling through pin boards!
