Brighter Skin Makes You Pretty. Lumixyl Skin Brightening System Giveaway.

by Dumb Mom on April 9, 2011

It’s another up your Mom Awesome by taking care of your face week coming at you on parent BY dummies.

I know.

I’m obsessed.

But, only because this stuff works!

My skin seriously hasn’t looked this clear and smooth since my middle school days.

I’ve been using this skin brightening system called Lumixyl.

Now, don’t go getting all Michael Jackson on me, it’s not that kind of skin brightening (besides, MJ had a disease and was totally not involved in anything nefarious or shifty, so beat it).

It’s a peptide made with science and stuff smart people know that is designed to improve hyperpignmentation of skin.

You know, all those icky looking picked out scars from where you squeezed your zit into oblivion?  And those dark dude-you-look-old spots some of us you are starting to see creep in?

Yeah, it hooks all of that stuff up.

I mean at first I couldn’t really see the progress, but once I Naired my hairy cheeks a bit, burning them badly in the process (seriously, I think Lumixyl has a disclaimer on their package somewhere that says you should NOT get involved with Nair, no matter how many face cowlicks you grow, while using this product.  I was too lazy to read it and now I look like I was in a street fight that involved punching my mouth and slapping my cheeks repeatedly.  I am a sad, but at least, beardless woman, with very clear, sore, viciously red thanks to my own idiocy skin), I was able to see the affects much more clearly.

I don’t really have before and after photos to depict the changes because, deluded human that I am, I honestly thought I didn’t have very much hyperpigmentation on my face to be concerned about, and assumed that my changes wouldn’t really even be noticeable.

Wrong!

Apparently, my mug was jacked!

Okay, jacked is a harsh word, but since using Lumixyl for the past 6 weeks or so, I am surprised to note that my 5 o’clock shadow and dark man ‘stache wasn’t entirely from an abundance of facial hair casting a shadow.  It was actually because of the dark areas I had beneath the hair!

Gone.

Well mostly.

Along with the zit scars.

Almost entirely.

Everything is just much more clear and smooth and even and, um, bright!

I don’t look like a newborn baby or anything, but close.  So, very close!

That’s just my story.

There is a boat load of medical mumbo-jumbo to explain the science behind Lumixyl on the website.  The why and how of making you pretty.

All stuff I don’t care about or want to explain.  All I care about is that I like it, and that, other than in the beginning and following the Nair incident, I don’t notice any sort of side effects (the first time I used it the burning was remarkably intense, like the ugly bits were just being set aflame right there on my face!) .

Besides, why bother with trying to explain how this works myself when they do a superb job having at it on the site?

I will leave that to the experts and just give you the opportunity to try it for yourself!

I am giving away one full Lumixyl Skin Brightening Kit to one pBd reader!

All of this awesome…

Lumixyl System JPEG

Which retails for $270!

To enter simply:

1.  Leave a comment telling me how young and vibrant I look your greatest skin complaint at the moment.  Too dry?  Too oily?  Perfect actually, but know people will hate you if you say that out loud?! (I’m the last one at the moment in case you are wondering!)

2.  Follow pBd on the blog or on Twitter (@thenagainphoto is my mismatched, confusing Twitter handle).

3.  Leave your comment and follow by midnight eastern on 4/15/11.  It will be like a tax gift if you win (tax filing day is actually on 4/18 this season so don’t panic, you still have a couple of days so get on it time!).

4.  USA or Canada residents are welcome to enter.

You’re in!

Maybe you too will soon be the owner of largely shadowless, fresh, bright looking skin!

*pBd Admits it’s Free:  Lumixyl supplied me with a kit of my own to try for 6 weeks.  Clearly they didn’t tell me what to say, otherwise I imagine they would have also taken a moment to reminded not to burn my face to bits with the Nair.  Only now that I look back at the bottle, I guess they DID tell me not to Nair my face to bits.  Don’t even think about saying I told you so!

Biggest skin complaint at the moment… Something I just started noticing (as I get closer to 39+ ;) ) is that my usually normal skin is becoming more dry/dull. Would love to get some brightness back!

Biggest face complaint–the prego mask. You know the mask you get when preggers? Well mine never completely went away. That was 4 years ago and now I still have raccoony eyes and a mustache shaped blemish on my upper lip.

BTW–Love your awesomeness. Just sayin’.

My biggest skin complaint? I’m blotchy. The slightest blemish (which I really shouldn’t even be having at age 44) leaves a dark spot that hangs around forever! And after reading this I’m starting to wonder if I don’t have hyperpigmentation issues I’ve been blaming on facial hair as well. Bleaching the ‘stache just isn’t helping like it used to :( And of course I already follow PbD and follow you on Twitter – have since way before the rest of the civilized world discovered how super-cool you are ;)

I am turning 30 soon and I can feel my skin starting to take a break from building collagen, or whatever it does to make my skin look oh so youthful and fresh. I need to get on some sort of skincare thing asap or else I will have to start selling my blood to get some botox. This product looks like a good place to start so I hope I win (and because I hate needles and plan B involves way too many needles)!

My biggest skin complaint at the moment is my dull even skin tone. I find myself using makeup to highlight and conceal where I wish I could just leave the house with a naked but glowing face!

I follow your blog and enjoy reading new psots!

Make that UNeven skin tone… see it is even compromsing my ability to type properly!! Gah! The humanity!

julia @ Simpletruths April 10, 2011 at 3:13 am

seriously? something that actually works. My complaint – hyperpigmentation galore from ingrown hair and the occasional pimple- especially around the chin area, cause we all know how attractive that is on a lady :| (hemph)

That plus general uneven skin tone…all that, on top of the ever increasing moles that apparently happen to many african americans as we get … older…?? I’m only 32 honest.

sigh

Oh I follow you on twitter as @mysimpletruths

I have very dull looking skin. At 29 this is unacceptable. I have tried products in the past and nothing works the way I wish it would. This sounds promising.

I turn 3-0 this October and I have a face that likes to torment me with oil and acne….sigh…. I still can’t believe that I could very possibly going into my 30s with oily skin and acne. With upcoming deployment and starting my life in a new decade, my only goal is to clear this skin of mine! And not go insane while husband is gone LOL.

My biggest skin complaint is the splotchiness. Is that even a word? You know what I mean. The red spots on my cheeks are annoying. They’re taking all the glory away from my freckles!

My biggest skin complaint is how blotchy my skin looks! When my skin is exposed to too much sun, I get these blotches on my skin that make me look like a leopard. (I think I’m exaggerating just a lil’ bit Lol).

They say that 60 is the new 40. I don’t know if it’s true but that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it. At 60 my greatest skin issue is those ugly age spots that begin to appear on my face and and hands. But…. argh!!!! worst of all are those wiry “pubic” looking hairs that sprout spontaneously on my chin and which I only notice when I glance in the rear view mirror of my car as I rush off to an important appointment. And of course, I never have a pair of tweezers handy so I desperately try to tare them out with my bare hands leaving huge red blotches where the ugly villians once resided. I’m interested to know if your miracle skin treatment would help a woman of my senior status age more gracefully. If so, come on sister, hook a granny up!
