Welcome to another edition of What’s in YOUR Closet where I introduce you to the fun and fashion of a blogger I love.
Being featured on What’s in YOUR Closet is super fun.
Super cool.
And. Super easy!
All you have to do is agree to do my bidding head over to the What’s in YOUR Closet intro post and link up your blog so I can stalk you down and invite you!
All the cool kids are doing it.
Like my pal, Julie.
This is Julie…
She’s a blogger, an aspiring writer, a daydreamer, a beach lover, a chocolate eater, and a flirt (the cute, harmless kind, not the home wrecking trampy kind).
She is not a mom, but she loves us anyway.
Julie’s Style: “My style is casual, but because of my full time career business attire makes up more than ¾ of my wardrobe. My favorite store is Banana Republic… but I only ever shop the outlets.
”
Julie’s Peeps: “Single, no kids”
Julie’s Blog: DutchBeingMe: Believe. Imagine. Dream. Live.
Julie’s Mom Awesome:
1. In 2008, I reached my goal weight after 3 years of working to lose 160 pounds. (weight loss story here: http://www.dutchbeingme.com/my-weight-loss-journey/)
2. Because of this weight loss journey, Weight Watchers showcased my story on the Rachael Ray show in October 2009!
(Here’s the link w/ video: http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/weight-loss-update/)
3. I’ve lived in 3 places in my whole life – my parent’s house, my dorm room in college, and my condo now. All of these places are within 10 miles of each other.
Here’s what’s in Julie’s closet…
“Ok, this is really me. I’m all put together when I meet my blog friends at conferences… but this is the REAL ME. Complete with eating popcorn.
These are my favorite jeans from Banana Republic. They are just the right amount of "worn in". (I think they were $30 at the outlet back in the day.) Along with this, I am wearing an XXL college sweatshirt (for a program I didn’t attend) which was a gift from my brother. I should also mention that I’m no longer wearing XXL clothes. More like Med/Large. I love wearing this around the house… or even out (yes, I wore it to church last Sunday – complete with popcorn.)
And yes, I *know* Stacy and Clinton would make this outfit end up in the trash. *And this makes me sad*”
Want to get all up in the Dutch?!

More than anything Julie wants to be a writer and she had this to say about her dreams…
The leading aspiration in my life is to be a writer. You know the kind… the girl who gets to sit in a coffee shop on a beach with my laptop beneath my fingertips and just take in the smell of the salted ocean air, sound of the waves crashing on the beach all while watching {hopefully someday} my husband and kids play and run along in the sand.
Oh yeah, and I’m a huge fan of Amanda’s… I’ve watched her "What Not To Wear" episode (on my DVR) like 6 times. {So not kidding about that.}*
In other news, Julie has been feeling a little down lately.
Dumb Mom does NOT like sadness, hers or anyone else’s, so it would be awesome if all of you would go over and see Julie on her not-so-happy little blog today and wish her happy-happy-joy-joy there too.
And, be sure to pop on over to the Blog Frog Pixorial Memories in Motion Community today (Friday) and share a little about what’s in your closet with us over there too!
*Julie’s porn star name would be Boots Oak Valley and I swear I didn’t beg, bribe, or bully her to get her to say that part about her loving me, although I really did enjoy it and will keep her in mind for future favors I may be in the position to dole out!

and popcorn is a perfect food…
I just wanted to say that i recently saw you on TLC what not to wear and needed to find your blog. I think you are adorable and your blog is awesome! Keep up the good work!
You gotta have something comfy in your closet, how can Stacy and Clinton deny you that? Complete with popcorn!! =)
Julie is an a pretty awesome blogger.
And I also love sweatshirts that a few sizes too big . . . I steal my hubby’s all the time!
I am all about big sweatshirts and comfy jeans. It must be a Michigan thing.
I love this! Such a good idea… and yes, I have stolen my hubby’s TCU sweatshirt more times then I care to admit.
I wanted to nominate myself but I can’t find the original post… can this be considered raising my hand to participate?
Love your blog!
I think Julie is one of the nicest bloggers ever. For real.
I like that she didn’t beat around the bush and showed us the big baggy sweatshirt and jeans. That would be the large majority of my wardrobe. I also love both her “put together” picture and her “real me” picture!
oh hooray! I met Julie at Bloggy Boot Camp in Philly last fall. Great girl. I really admire her ability to get fit like she did. Takes so much discipline. Good for her!
My favorite jeans are Banana Republic, too. I got them at consignment for $6.
I wish I had only lived in three places. Now I just want to move one more time.
I really am longing to leave this place I live… I need to see/experience more of the world!
Thanks so much for featuring me!! It really was so much fun – and a bright spot in my week to figure out what I was going to do.
You are awesome!!!
You are more than welcome! It was interesting to hear your inspiring story because I really had no idea!
I’m so glad I headed over here – I had no idea Julie’s weight loss story was featured on Rachael Ray! You learn something new every day, I suppose.
Love Julie. Love love love her!
I got all excited to see the popcorn pop up bowls!
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your outfit!
I’m LOVING this friday feature!
