No. We are not talking about New Kids on the Block this week on pBd.
Although we can if you want to.
I mean, I’m fully equipped to have a very accurate and engaging discussion on the ins and out of Joey, Jordan, Jon, Danny, and Donnie; members of the original make-girls-crazy boy band.
Because I’m a fan.
A FORMER fan.
It’s not like I’m a fan now.
I wasn’t doing the Hangin’ Tough dance just last night in my kitchen.
And, I wasn’t considering buying tickets to see them on tour when they stop by my town (until I found out they were almost $200!) this spring.
Or maybe I was. But, whatever.
This is NOT about them.
I’m talking NKOTB as in New Kids on the BLOG!
Blogging newbies that are making a name for themselves by being awesome.
Ladies who are bloggin’ like the big dawgs despite having only put their name to a .com in recent months (only looking at people less than a year old).
Like every edition of the BList these are blogs I read. Like really if I’m gonna read instead of sleep or tend to my offspring which is not as often as I’d like, but it really does happen read.
Because I like them and I think you will too.
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the soon-to-be-famous sites who have the not-really-that-big-of-an-honor unique distinction of making it on to the BList!
Six Degrees of Love. Six kids and a boat? Or, maybe they don’t actually have a boat and they are just crazy enough to be considering it. Either way, I like her style. And her bravery. And, her slight insanity that perfectly compliments mine.
(a)Musing Foodie. I love her because I know her. Well, not know her know her. But, we live in the same own so I’ve met her. And, she’s so stinkin’ adorable. Not just because she’s easy on the eyes, but because the first time she met me she did this amazing thing: she told me the correct way to say her name before I even had a chance to slaughter it. I loved that about her because then I didn’t have to feel like an idiot for not knowing it pronouncing it correctly for a week before she finally told me I was saying it wrong at which point I would feel like a complete douche loser.
An Authentic Life. I found this one on Facebook. Okay, she found me, but I’m taking credit for the discovery because that’s just what I do. And, I’m not even 100% sure that she meets the “been blogging awesomely for less than a year” parameters I imposed for this, but I can honestly say I like her enough not to care. Here’s what makes her great: she lives in Montana (which is awesome because no one else does), she has a sexy husband (in my book a reason to give a blogger a chance), and on a slightly more useful note, she writes good intro paragraphs. I knew instantly that she was gonna be good and I didn’t have to waste spend 4 minutes clicking through posts to figure it out.
Accidentally by Design. Because she is a devoted reader who gives good advice and really “listens” when you type. Make friends with her and you will be lucky. Piss her off and you have seriously got to be the most deplorable person on the planet because she really is a sweetie. Unless you mess with her kids. Or her man. Or her friends. Anyway, she’s blog awesome because shares her real self and she blogs from her heart. Which is brave and um, just brave.
And Nobody Told Me. It’s a collabo actually, started fresh just this year. Headed up by two bloggin’ supa-stars and contributed to by a few others. I like the different voices and perspectives they provide. I like that sometimes they are funny and sometimes they are um, less funny, and sometimes they are just keeping it so real I don’t even notice if it’s funny. That doesn’t happen at pBd. I’m too tired to be powerful and moving and inspirational and smart, so funny it is.
A Wide Line. I haven’t figured out what the title means and I don’t have a clue what rule 2 (her url) is, but you know what? Don’t care. This blog is written by one of the most talented and entertaining bloggers I have read from in awhile. And no, it’s not because I stopped reading other people’s blogs pretty much entirely. I read other people’s blogs on Wednesdays. How do you think I do Tweet Faves on Wordful Wednesday?! Huh?! Anyway, question my credibility if you must, but I like this one. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I like her style. Oh, and she recently welcomed a new human so go visit and say hi!
That’s it!
Just going with six this month because finding new bloggers who rock my socks off is hard work.
Plus, I’m lazy sorta crotchety and stuck-in-my RSS reading ways when it comes to discovering new blogs.
But, I want to.
I really, really want to.
I like meeting new people and recruiting them to the Dumb side who are awesome and fresh.
And, Stumbling.
I’m working on Stumbling better and I went ahead and “discovered” all of these blogs on Stumble this weekend (accept for the one someone beat me to discovering, dangit!).
Discovering awesomeness is sorta my thing you know.
And, I want to do it more.
So, who should I know? Who should I Stumble?
You?
Your friend?
I’m open to suggestions and always on the look out for Stumble-licious, BList worthy blogs!

What a good idea, I love this. Off to visit some new blogs…
I really appreciate it when people make my life easier and create lists of fun things that I should read. Anytime I have to work less, am a happy camper… Thanks.
ooooh, good picks… but i’m still down here
(i’ve had mine for 2 years, but it only became public a month ago. 85 followers in once month= insane! i had no idea how awesome my life could be once i made my thoughts public!)
Nice way to spread the love.
I’m sort of distracted by the NKOTB thing. I did go see them 2 years ago when they started touring and OMG. Best concert ever. I kid you not.
Yes!!! I’ve seen them 3 times. Best. Concert. Ever.
Sweet!
I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while now that I just love how good you are at creating community. Especially among new bloggers. You have great ideas and a ton of energy and are super welcoming.
Except you didn’t like my blog yet. But that’s ok because I know you really like it so much you were just struck dumb. As in, wordless.
Thanks so much for the mention! So glad you like the blog. I haven’t told anyone what Rule 2 is yet, but to find out what “A Wide Line” means, check out my first post ever. http://live-by-rule2.blogspot.com/2010/10/wide-line.html Thanks again!
I just started reading you so that tells you how far behind I am in life…but hey, I have three kids so that might qualify me for some kind of excuse, right? Just wait until you have one that is a teen…
About the encouragement you gave these bloggers…completely awesome and well deserved. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been blogging for 7 years and I love the sense of community most of all. People often ask me about making millions with a blog or some kind of amazing creation, and I tell them that knowing other bloggers has been the greatest part of all. (I have no millions and have not brought the amazing yet.)
Stumbling totally confuses me. I’m all signed up & everything but can’t, for the life of me, figure out why I want to do it.
I love Maggie. Love, love, love her!
I am graciously humbled that you included An Authentic Life in your esteemed list!
Thank you!!
I saw NKOTB and had to read more
You know what? I did see them in Tacoma, WA and it was worth it.
Me and other 30 somethings were singing our hearts out and screaming over these guys. It made me feel like I was 12 years old again
I am -soo- a c-list blogger.
But… I have high hopes.
Thank you so much. You know I started crying and waving and blowing kisses at my family when I found out I made the Blist. I am definitely the little league of this edition of the Blist.
NKOTB? I feel old as Yoda.
Yippee-skippee!
Thanks, Amanda!
NKOTB – heh.
I need to spend more time Stumbling. I am off to check out these blogs.
Great idea for this month’s BList. I’ll have to check these awesome ladies out.
loved you list and have added a few more bookmarks for my daily read…
i guess i would consider myself a C-lister as well…I am not a great writer but getting my thoughts out there feels good! you can check me out..and I am totally open to suggestions to help me become more awesome…sometime I get sad that my awseomness doesn’t come across on my blog as much as it should:/
Have you even thought of hosting a MD blogger meet up??? I would love to meet you and others bloggers in the area?
hehe…NKOTB. I thought I was so cool ’cause my grandma bought me the New Kids (acid washed) denim jacket For Christmas. I was the coolest girl in the 7th grade (for about 2 weeks then everyone went back to their self-assigned groups).
Anyhow, I’m off to check out these blogs. I can’t suggest myself ’cause I’ve been blogging for over a year – not that anyone aside from a handful of friends and family reads it! I like to think I have some lurkers – I know I’m a serial blog lurker.
How awesome! I’m totally going to have to check these out. And maybe one day I’ll move up from the D-list of blogging and make the list. But that will wait until I have time and stuff to do such things.
It’s not been less then a year since they’ve been blogging I think but one of my faves is Bad mommy Moments (http://badmommymoments.com/)
What a great BList! I think that it is great how bloggers support each others sites, as well as provide additional resources like StumbleUpon. Will definitely look into that one!
Thank you SO MUCH for putting And Nobody Told Me on your list! I can’t wait to take a look at the others. Feelin’ the loooooovvvve!
I’ve had “W-oh, wo-oh oh. W-oh, wo-oh. W-oh, wo-oh oh. The right stuff.” running through my head all day and couldn’t figure out WHY.
That’s what I get for reading your blog at 8 am in the morning.
Thanks for the mention! I’m blushing.
Nah, it’s just from the run on the treadmill. Still….

I love this! I’m always looking for new bloggers like me to follow and hopefully create a community with. Thanks for remembering the little people!
I’ve read a few of these blogs before but I’ve got new ones to read too! Thanks so much! I have just recently started stumbling too, its cool the awesome stuff you can just “stumble” on!
What a fabulous list! I <3 Liza from aMusing Foodie. Fab recipes and attitude. I'll have to check these other ladies out, too!
Thanks for the list!
Awesome, will check out the list!
ps. I’m not a NKOTB fan either
