Wordful Wednesday. Blogalicious 2010.

by Dumb Mom on October 13, 2010

That’s right friends, I was in Miami this weekend for the Blogalicious 2010 conference.

It was fan-friggin’-tastic!

I spent a lot of time helping out my Invisalign Teen pals in the expo hall so I didn’t get a chance to visit all of the sessions, or meet all the bloggers I was hoping to, but I did get to enjoy a really inspiring panel by Ana White (who is gorgeous and smart and completely bucks the hot-girls-can’t-work-a-drill stereotype) and another insightful panel by the ladies of The Motherhood (which was, incidentally, the very first blogging community I joined, EVER).

But, my favorite part of being at Blogalicious was, by far, meeting and interacting with people (which is why I didn’t mind in the least hanging out at my Invisalign booth, because pretty much every attendee made it over there eventually!).

I got to meet the coolest orthodontist in South Florida, Dr. Khakhira (and the cute-as-a-button Midtown Chica too)…

I know, if you don’t live in South Florida and are looking for a premier orthodontist, maybe you don’t care, but I just have to say, this guy was a ton of fun!  Great personality AND an awesome grill to boot!  Meaning, if you do live in South Florida and are looking for a premiere orthodontist, you shouldn’t wait another moment to make an appointment with this Dude, because seriously, he was sorta the shiz.

I got to experience the cooking talents of my bloggy-girlfriend Thein Kim…

She was all celebrity like up there with her Vietnamese spring rolls.  I swear Food Network needs to find this lady and make her a star!

Most fun of the entire weekend, though?  I mean other than kickin’ butt and taking names on the Just Dance 2 Demo (where I won a shirt, and a headband, AND got ejected from the suite for rockin’ it so hard), was workin’ the Invisalign Photo Booth at the big Saturday Night Beauty Bash.  And, when I say workin’ it, I mean WORK-IN-IT…

And, just to make for the awesomest weekend ever, I wrapped it all up with the most interesting plane ride home.  Thanks to the never-ending-stories of my new found friend Ty (that’s pronounced Tee Why), air travel will never be the same for me.  I doubt I’ll ever step foot on a plane without hoping (fearing?) that he will be there.

I should have taken a picture with him, but I was so um, overwhelmed, by his awesome I completely forgot (even though my camera was sitting in my lap for the entire flight!).

Best part though?

Coming home to this…

That’s right, Spiderman was ready and waiting for me.

Just like my Happily (un)Haunted Halloween Photo Contest with Celebrate Express is ready and waiting for you.

To enter.

Dude #1 will premiere his costume next week.  But, want a hint?: He’s black, and green, and red all over.

Thanks for joining me for another week of Wordful Wednesday.

Don’t forget to use the button, please.  It means a lot (to me and Angie!).

One of these days I’m going to a blog conference. They look like so much fun! Thanks for letting me link up with you for Wordful Wednesday. I tried posting your button, but wasn’t having any luck. I’ll try it again later.

So jealous! I’m from Miami, but live in California now. Every time I see Blogalicious pictures I just wish I could have been there too. Have a great day!
