Which I’m mostly happy about.
Because the kids have gone back to school.
But there are tons of things that I will miss about summer.
Like the three of them being together, so that I can mostly be alone…
Them playing in the water table on the deck while I sit in the house watching my week’s worth of DVRed shows alone…
Them at the lake where they can play while I lie on the sand alone…
Them playing with their friends while I read my book alone…
And, them hanging out with Dumb Dad while I do other stuff. ALONE…
So pretty much the thing I’ll miss most about summer is them being together (or with other responsible parties) so I can be alone.
Now, instead of having time alone, I have time with #3.
Since the big boys are gone off to school, I guess he’s lonely or whatever, so he follows me EVERYWHERE.
Talking.
In the bathroom. In the kitchen. Even when I try to go into the pantry that is too small to go into so I can hide from him, he follows me.
Talking.
He’s needy that one (I mean I’ve always known that he is the proud owner of a loquacious personality, but seriously, the kid talks A LOT. Like A. LOT.)!
Most two year olds don’t talk this much. Some people say we’re lucky that he’s so verbally expressive. I usually call this particular situation something different.
Good thing he is SO stinkin’ cute with all of his…
talking smiling!

He is pretty stinkin’ cute! I have the opposite problem.. my two are four years apart and don’t play together much. They spent the entire summer up my butt! One and a half weeks and they BOTH go to school… #1 to 2nd grade and #2 to preschool. WOOT!
Oh, my 2-year old is Mr. Jabber Jaws, too.
Hope it’s a great school year!
He is really cute!!
oh my goodness what an amazing shot the 3rd one is. Love it.
I’m going to miss summer but I’m glad for more routine with school.
I’m slacking on posting real old school photos, but I’ll pick it up soon
He really is so stinking cute!! He and Buster would get along great. They could probably talk each other into exhaustion.
My oldest is the talker. Man that girl does not stop. So I can feel your pain. From the time I pick her up in the afternoon until she goes to bed, and sometimes even after she’s asleep, she is talking, “momma… momma… momma… momma… momma…”
Ok, here is the deal you need to get your kids to talk to my kids about how to leave me alone. I am dying for some alone time.
He is SO stinkin’ cute. They all are. Your pictures are incredible– one of these days I’m going to hire you.
Your pictures are always amazing… and they capture the characters of your boys so well!
They’re all cute. My son used to talk all the time, too. I don’t know what I would have done, if he hadn’t been adorable
Stopping by to say hi, check out your cute blog & return your visit!
