Intentions (!!!). Week 2.

by Dumb Mom on July 7, 2010

I think this is becoming a little side project of mine.

I am obsessed with finding happy bits.

Because doing so is giving me something to look forward to this summer, when many days just seem so long, and mundane, and loud, and trying.

Taking a step back to smile at this…

(Little people making friends)

And appreciate this…

(My rockstar Eclipse shirt amazing friends/family to enjoy my obsession a movie with)

And worship this…

(Lazy summer afternoons filled with reading good books impromptu naps)

And chuckle at this…

(Diaper wedgie on the kid whose mom won’t buy new diapers, no matter how big his badonka-donk gets, because he is potty trained and only wears them at night)

And celebrate this…

(The one and only thing I could grow successfully)

And inhale this…

(Stank-dirty-stand-up-alone-and-do-a-happy-dance boy socks that had to be peeled off of the funky feet they belong to)

Helps with all of these uh-are-you-kidding-me-I-am-so-over-this-make-it-stop moments that seem to be piling up around here this summer…

Thank goodness for moments like these…

Want to do a little !!! yourself?

Bad Mommy Moments !!! Momalom !!!

Or how about some Wordful Wednesday for your posting pleasure?

Either way, enjoy your day, ‘cause I will mine.

I love a baby butt cheek hanging out of his diaper.

Awesome isn’t it?! Not so much when it’s the 45 year old chick up the street who insists on wearing cootie cuters to the bus every morning with nothing on underneath. She gags me.

Reply

Jennifer July 8, 2010 at 6:09 pm

That made me gag just from the description.

What an uplifting post- something that I really needed to see today. You put a smile on my face, and the image of diaper wedgies in my head. Thank you!

You are welcome. I wish I were so inspiring and uplifting everyday! Alas, usually I am the one seeking a reason to not bludgeon myself with a sippy cup. That is what makes participating in the !!! so special. Makes my death by sippy cup less likely.

I can smell those socks. They are in my living room right now. Smile!

In that case, hows about I send my pair (and the 28 more just like it in the hamper upstairs waiting for the laundry fairy to show here happy little face) to you and you can take care of ‘em?!

I really love this. I need to do it next week. I do! It won’t be as fabulous as yours, but it’ll still be fun!

Dumb Mom July 8, 2010 at 3:21 am

It’ll possibly be more fabulous than mine. It’s hit or miss with this Dumb Mom. You know that!

Love that butt cheek! And excellent pepper my lady! My husband is a gardening wizard so we have yellow squash and zucchini coming out of our asses over here. Want some? I can fed-ex.

I’d say yes, but then my Pops would get jealous. He’s the Dumbledore of gardening around these parts! Please tell me you watch/read Harry Potter?! It’ll make me love you that much more (if that’s even possible!).

LMAO!!! LOVE the diaper wedgie pic. And I’m SUCH A HUGE FAN of Eclipse. Would u believe I haven’t gone to see the movie yet? Oh the horror. I blame it on the kiddies. lol

Tie ‘em up. Sell ‘em. Let ‘em play on the freeway. Just go see it! Just noticed some people on Twitter talking about how much they didn’t like it. I seriously almost unfollowed them and blocked them over it. But then I remembered, the whole free speech deal and decided I’d let it slide. Totally closed my TweetDeck over it though. Otherwise I woulda Twitterslapped them and that woulda made me a bad person.

This is a fun narrative. Friends are precious to us moms and I do remember diaper wedgies! lol

I’m still yet to grow a plant. I do well on killing them.

Enjoy the times!

Aloha!

I kill pretty much every, non0human living thing I encounter. The dog was lucky to escape with his life when he did.

Dude. It was AWE-SOME-NESS. Put the kids in the closet and go see the movie. Totally worth like one visit from those nosy child protective people.

Diaper wedgies are SOOOO funny. My kiddo was sporting one today, he kept pulling at his shorts when we were at story time. The poor kid.
