I spent a bunch of time checking out Pinterest and trying to come up with something super fun and cool to do for the Dudes’ Valentine’s Day cards.
Then a couple of things dawned on me: one, me making a bunch of Valentine’s Day cards by hand (45 to be exact) is not only ambitious, but downright ludicrous. And two, they don’t give a care.
Honestly, there was no way on this planet that they were actually going to help with a project like that (it’s a chore just getting them to write their names on every card).
Because, as previously mentioned, they. Don’t. Care.
Having the perfect V-day cards is something chicks are into.
Dudes just want to ensure that none of them say something cheesy like “Be Mine!” or “I Love You!” Because apparently, giving the pigtailed cutie across the table that you’ve been crushing on since winter break a sweet card expressing your feelings for her would be lame.
Pulling her hair and chasing her all over the playground is a much better tactic for declaring your love for someone in fourth grade.
Whatever.
Fortunately, I was able to appease their desire to not be lame and my desire to be awesome without having to spend all day slaving away with a pair of scissors in hand by ordering them personalized cards from Minted.com.
They have the most adorable classroom Valentine’s Day cards there.
You can get them with a photo (the Dudes were so anti that idea it wasn’t even funny, and no amount of my oohing and aahhing over photo cards made them cave on the issue)…
Or you can just go with something Dudely, but personalized (yeah, no brow beating them to write their names!)…
Now that we’ve got that squared away, I still had to figure out what to do about my class party contribution.
Pinterest, of course, is filled to bursting with brilliant ideas and some of them I fully intend to give the old college try at recreating…

(seriously, these look easy enough!)
But, just in case, I also volunteered to do a fun photo booth type thing for the classes.
You know funky moustaches, pink boas, hearts on sticks, that whole bit? With props I ordered from The Manic Moose.
I still need a good craft to suggest. And, maybe a Valentine’s Day inspired game?!
Did you take the Pin This Challenge this week and pin me an awe inspiring, impress the room-moms type Valentine’s Day board?
Link it up down there so I can check it out and follow your boards and repin your finds and basically waste the rest of my afternoon hanging out on Pinterest like the addict that I am!
And, are you ready for next week’s challenge?!
In an effort to get out of menu planning for next week (it’s totally time consuming and sort of tedious if you ask me), I’m asking you to do it for me!

I’m finishing my Eating Real Simple BY Dummies challenge this week which means, if I want to keep up this cooking from home every night business, I need to branch out and find something worth cooking!
Which is where you come in challenge participants!
So, here you have it, next week’s challenge…
Pin This: On the Menu.

And, just to get you hungry and stuff in the mood, here’s something I cooked up last month…
